What is the Current Labor Force?

The labor force participation rate and the employment-population ratio have remained relatively unchanged in November, according to recent reports. The US Census Bureau collects data on industry, occupation, and class of workers for Americans who are part of the workforce in several surveys. This data provides insight into employment status, employment dynamics, and work experience (including typical hours worked and number of weeks worked in the past year). The latest estimates of the unemployment rate and the civilian labor force for the state, metropolitan areas, cities and counties, including preliminary and revised figures, are also available.

Additionally, the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) tabulation, based on data from the American Community Survey, highlights the gender, race and ethnicity diversity of the American workforce.
